Educational Programs for All Age Kids at the Nashville Zoo

A field trip to the Nashville Zoo is a great outing any time of the year.  We love having a membership so we can enjoy a little bit of it at a time and don’t feel rushed.  Along with the animals habitats, the Zoo offers several more in depth educational programing.

Here are a few ideas for your animal loving kids!

ZOO TOTS – For ages 2-5, the 6 week Zoo Tots program is offered in the Spring and Fall.  The registered child and one parent get a first hand look at some of the Zoo’s animals and experience education through age appropriate activities.

HOMESCHOOL DAYS – For the school aged kids, several options are available.  The Zoo hosts a monthly 1-1.5 hour class on Homeschool Day for ages 5-14.  Classes are drop off style and grouped by age.  Supplemental resources are emailed to work on before and after the class if you choose.

If you can’t make it to the Homeschool day, try get together a group for a field trip.  With a group of 20 or more, you can register for the Zoo’s Wild Encounter Program for only $2 per child.  All attraction tickets are also discounted for the group to $1.50 per ticket (regularly $2).
